Nadeem Khan, could never have forseen running two restaurants in Reading, as he now does. With over 10 years experience within the rag trade, Nadeem had no previous experience in the food sector. “I had the knowledge and knowhow of running a business, but knew nothing about the food industry", says Nadeem, who successfully manages two Roosters Piri Piri restaurants in Reading, Berkshire.

“After undergoing a thorough training with the Roosters Piri Piri team, I felt confident with the processes and procedures that would be required of me as a franchisee. I had good help to get a foothold, once I understood everything the franchisor eased back and let me run my business.”

Roosters Piri Piri management and support ensures franchisees are comfortable with the operational processes and audits to maintain quality control. The relationship is strengthened by having close links with the franchisee and being at hand to aid any problem-solving or further help that may be required. Roosters Piri Piri is about management and building relationships with the business and the customer. All this helps with the growth and success of the franchise.

“It is a combination of things, from having the drive and passion to succeed, to choosing the right staff and having the solid backing of the franchisor. Every setup is different; the training and supervision is excellent. All my questions were answered promptly and clearly.”

“The franchisor always looks at valued ways of boosting business and trade. They have also taken on board, my ideas on marketing and brand building. Certain ideas have been enhanced and implemented and where they felt some wouldn’t work, they disagreed. Roosters Piri Piri know what they are talking about and as a result, I’ve had no negative impact on sales based on decisions made by them. They have added real value to my business.”

“I would highly recommend franchising with Roosters Piri Piri. It’s a great challenge but you do have to have something special to succeed. The new branding is a revelation and if a franchisee is lucky enough to come into a franchise early on, they are going to benefit from lack of saturation in this market. With the innovation, help and support from the franchisor, the franchisees will do incredibly well if they run their business the right way.”

“You have to work hard of course, you will be working in a team and your commitment to standards and delivering to your customer will be your 100% priority.”
